Maria, a bright 10-year-old, faced significant barriers to her education due to financial constraints. With the support of the Azi Foundation, she received a scholarship that covered her school fees and provided essential supplies. Today, Maria excels in her studies and dreams of becoming a doctor. Her story is a testament to how access to education can change a child’s life trajectory.
Elijah's Journey to Healing
Elijah, a 9-year-old boy, was abandoned after losing his parents in the ongoing conflict in Anglophone Cameroon. Found wandering alone, he was brought to the Azi Foundation. With access to counseling and a safe environment, Elijah began to heal from his trauma. He now participates in group activities and has formed bonds with other children who share similar experiences. Elijah dreams of becoming a teacher to help other children like him.
