The Back-to-School Drive is a vital initiative organized by Azi Foundation for Children to support underprivileged children in Cameroon as they prepare for a new academic year. With many families facing financial hardships, this program aims to alleviate some of the burdens associated with school-related expenses.
Objectives
- Provide Essential Supplies: Ensure that children have access to the necessary school supplies, including backpacks, notebooks, pens, pencils, and educational materials.
- Promote Education: Encourage school enrollment and attendance by making education more accessible for families in need.
- Raise Awareness: Highlight the importance of education in community development and the challenges faced by disadvantaged children.
Implementation
- Community Partnerships: We collaborate with local schools, community leaders, and NGOs to identify children in need and gather support.
- Supply Collection: Throughout July and early August, we organize supply drives in various neighborhoods, schools, and community centers to collect donations.
- Distribution Events: On August 15, we hold distribution events where children receive their backpacks and supplies. These events also include fun activities, educational workshops, and health check-ups.
